R6ConfigBridge

Between two configs,
review before you move.

A local Windows configuration-transfer prototype for selectively moving GameSettings.ini values between the international edition and Tencent’s WeGame edition, in either direction.

v0.2.1-mvp · Windows · C# / WinForms / .NET Framework 4.x

R6ConfigBridge

Review the changes.
Then choose to apply.

Load both configurations, search by setting name, show differences, and select the fields to transfer. The allowlist includes mouse and scope sensitivity, hold/toggle behavior, and selected controller, display, graphics, audio and accessibility settings.

Exit both games before applying. The tool backs up the target, writes changes, then reads back to verify. Restore also backs up the current state first. It refuses a direct overwrite if the configuration has changed since preview.

Evidence first.
Discovery second.

Bounded, read-only scanning checks known configuration locations and platform installation records. It does not recursively scan whole disks, launch games or access the network. It does not guess between accounts; nonstandard paths can be selected manually.

Configuration discovery, installation clues and scan errors are shown separately. Private WeGame metadata is not parsed. No discovered configuration does not mean the game is not installed.

What the prototype does.
What it does not.

  • Specific action keybinds and mouse side-button bindings are not implemented. Hold/toggle behavior is not full keybind migration.
  • Bidirectional transfer and restore have been tested on copies of real configurations. Migration of actual game settings, in-game effect, persistence after restart and cloud-sync behavior have not been verified.
  • Matching enum names may have different meanings between editions. UTF-16 is unsupported; duplicate fields are rejected. Not all versions, display scaling or encodings have been tested.
  • The program is unsigned. Anti-cheat compatibility and zero ban risk are not guaranteed. It does not inject into games, access game memory or modify game programs.

This is a v0.2.1-mvp prototype, not a production-proven migration workflow. Keep an independent backup and verify the result in-game yourself.
